Rally Navigation Classes Navigation Classes now over for 2008 back in Jan 2009.
Although
the course is specifically directed towards navigation rallies, there will
also be an introduction to pacenotes and co driving and autotesting, it will cover all
aspects of map reading, rally navigation and timing, and is designed with
the complete novice in mind.
If you would like to have a go at navigation rallies then this is
the way to get started, and with the minimum age for navigators now
reduced to 12 years it also provides the perfect opportunity for the
junior enthusiast to get involved. The six-week course prepares you for
the club's first navigation event of the year on Friday 29th February 2008.
Students from the course will be eligible to compete in a separate class
within the Dungannon MC championship and interclub challenge, the
challenge consists of at least five rounds, designed with the beginner in
mind, it is made up of three Dungannon events along with events organised
by neighbouring motor clubs.
The design of the championship has made it very popular with
competitors, and it’s use of the many ideally suited country roads
allows navigation instructions to be kept simple while still providing
very challenging events for both driver and navigator.
