1970 ANICC Awards Night

This report is reproduced from Motorweek 14 February 1970

MEN ONLY

A likely looking band of ANICC people listen attentively. The DMC delegation are on the left with Jim Taggart, Gordon Taggart and Bryce Sands all in attendance.

A special “Stag Night” was held last week at the Altmore House Hotel in Cappagh. The ANICC presented Ulster Rally Champions, Cahal Curley and Austin Frazer (among other people) with lots of silverware, and in addition, managed to do a bit of eating, drinking, and being merry at the same time.

When the cabaret was in progress they made a very attentive audience.

Proceedings were somewhat enlivened by the provision of a cinematographic display by Mr Billy Orr, ably assisted in the sound department by Mr Curley, while later in the evening, Mr Curley was prevailed upon to lead some of the gathering in song.  A fine time was had by all.

Ken Shields and Ronnie McCartney “talking tests” no doubt.
